Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana

By Stan | Trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

First off thank you for all of your help putting this vacation together. We had a great time. I will give you a break down from our arrival to departure.

We were met at the airport and had a private shuttle to our hotel. It took about 35 min.

Once we arrived at the hotel we were given warm towels and a welcome drink while we waited. Check in took about 15 min. We did not have joining rooms but we were in the same building one floor apart.

Both rooms were very clean and had plenty of room, both had a jacuzzi .

The hotel is huge, but you never felt like you had to walk very far to get to things. Our room was near the lobby so getting to the main restaurants and shops was only 5 min away. It took us about 15 min to walk to the beach and main pool. By the 4th day the kids found a very nice private pool 2 min from our rooms so we would go to the beach in the morning and head to the pool around 3pm until 5pm.

There were 5 or 6 restaurants as well as the main buffet. 3 of the restaurants also served breakfast so you didn't have to fight with the masses if you wanted a smaller place to eat. There was also a nice coffee shop, Ice Cream parlor, and a pizza place. Also many of the pools had snacks available through out the day.

We ate at the Japanese, Mexican, Brazilian Steak house, and a Steak restaurant, we did not eat at the Caribbean restaurant . The food at all of the restaurants was very good.

The service was excellent. From the check in , restaurants, even the grounds keepers went out of there way to say hello.

Our shuttle arrived a little late and we were worried about getting through security in time to make our flight, Our driver Barney called ahead and had one of their staff meet us at the check in. He walked us through getting our tickets, checking our bags, and getting us to the security gate all within 15 min of arriving.

The direct flight was great with no delays or problems.

The kids also took full advantage of the nightlife, there was a Dance Club at the hotel that usually charges 25 to 50 dollars to get into but during the day the staff would walk around and hand out brackets to get in free so the kids never paid to get in.

Over all we had a great time and would consider going back.
